Scholarship Application
Asher Hoffman is proud to offer an annual scholarship designed to support undergraduate students pursuing studies in law or related fields. Our firm is committed to recognizing the potential of future legal professionals, emphasizing Confidence, Courage, and Determination in their academic journeys.
This scholarship provides $1,000 to assist with tuition, fees, and other educational expenses. Applicants must comply with all applicable IRS and state tax regulations.
Scholarship Overview
- Award Amount: One (1) scholarship of $1,000
- Use of Funds: Tuition, academic fees, books, supplies, or related educational expenses
- Disbursement: A check issued directly to the recipient
- Tax Compliance: Recipients are responsible for following IRS and state requirements
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States
- Provide proof of acceptance into an accredited undergraduate pre-law program, a related field of study, or an accredited U.S. law school for Fall 2025
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the undergraduate level
Application Requirements
To be considered, applicants must submit the following by June 1, 2026:
- A current, complete resume
- A 500–1,000 word essay, typed, single-spaced, 12-point font, on a topic related to the applicant’s intended area of legal practice
- Official, certified transcripts (high school transcripts for incoming freshmen; college transcripts for all others)
- An acceptance letter from an accredited U.S. college or law school
- Proof of legal residency in the United States (e.g., birth certificate, passport, or permanent resident card)
Award Details
- Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, supplies, and living expenses
- Recipients must submit receipts and proof of fund use, if requested
- Award decisions will be announced by June 2026, with funds distributed in July 2026
- Recipients must agree to the use of their name and likeness for publicity purposes and submit a video acceptance upon receiving the award
